authors grow for over twenty years. In that time many of our members
have gone from "I'd like to write" to selling stories and winning
awards.

Lakota grew up in South Dakota, and spent most of her adult life in Arizona. Nature is where her stories start: the seasons, the birds, and the wildflowers are carved indelibly in her psyche.
When not writing, she reads voraciously, gardens sporadically, drinks lots of coffee, and ponders what would drive an ordinary person to commit murder and mayhem.
That's where the mystery occurs!
She divides her time between Arizona and Michigan, sharing her writing life with her family and three wacko cats.
Her understanding of human nature drives her stories of small towns and murders.
Her heroines have lives beyond the page, as they struggle to balance family, friendships with the occasional corpse.
